ATLANTA, January 13, 2005 - Adrienne Hobbs, an attorney, has launched Trial Lawyers for Learning, a volunteer initiative to help kids gain the computer skills they need for future success.

The group is collecting surplus computers from local lawyers to equip a computer lab in Cabbagetown for children from the greater Atlanta area to use after school and during the summer. The lab is headed by Dr. Richard Cobble, Reverend of the Omega Church and will be housed at the Immanuel Baptist Church located in the Cabbagetown neighborhood on Memorial Drive.

Trial Lawyers for Learning is also recruiting volunteers to teach the children computer skills and if you are interested in volunteering, please contact Minister John H. Layne, III at (770) 448-1161.

The organization is limiting donations to PCs with processors that are pentium or newer. It also welcomes accessories such as printers, keyboards, monitors, and mouses. Donations are tax-deductible. Contact Adrienne Hobbs at (404) 969-1211 or John Layne at (770) 448-1161 to arrange pick up or delivery.

Donations may also be delivered to Omega Holiness Church at 621 Memorial Drive. Please call Minister Layne to set up a time at (770) 448-1161. The church’s administrative offices are open Mon. to Fri. from 5:30 -- 7:30 p.m.
