Message from the President
As Americans we have said the words “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” more times that we can count. Those words are a commitment to uphold the sanctity of our democracy, and as lawyers we have sworn to protect and defend the Constitution.
What happened at the United States Capitol this week was a shocking and disgraceful reminder that democracy is not guaranteed and that it is our responsibility to continue to commit ourselves to upholding the Constitution, rather than party politics. GTLA is a bipartisan organization dedicated to the preservation of the Seventh Amendment and the importance of access to justice for all Georgians. Now, more than ever, we must continue to work together in this effort.
We, as leaders of GTLA, thank you for your commitment and service to our great country’s democratic ideals.

The Mission of GTLA is simple: We are dedicated to protecting the Constitutional promise of justice for all by guaranteeing the right to trial by jury, preserving an independent judiciary, and providing access to the courts for all Georgians.
